Things to do

We are able to organize fishing trips on the local Jukung boats. Most popular times for

fishing are sunrise or sunset.

Tirta Gangga Water Palace

Built in 1948 Tirta Gangga was a royal residence for the King of Karangasem, consisting of many

pools of water and temples. Tirta Gangga is just 14km from Amed and is a great place for lunch.

Ujung Water Palace

Located 22 km from Amed Ujung Water palace was also a royal residence which consists of three big pools and buildings in big gardens with amazing views.

Kings Palace – Amlapura

The Kings Palace is a great place to visit and see a glimpse of how the Balinese royalty lived. You can see some old furniture and photos and also relax in the Bale over the big pond.

Whitesand beach

Whitesand beach in Jasri is the whitest beach in the area due to it been spared in the 1963 Mount Agung eruption. It is also relatively unknown to tourists so is a nice quiet relaxing spot.

A great way to spend the day is hiking in the hills around Amed, it is a great way to see Balinese

village life.

Volcano Climbing

We can organize trips to climb Mount Agung for sunrise. It can be a tough climb but the views are spectacular from the top. We do not recommend doing this without a guide as it can be dangerous.
